Welcome to the Vestry Page!
Updated February 25th, 2011
The Vestry is the primary governing body for Church of Our Saviour. Made up of elected parish members and our Rector, the Vestry meets monthly and is vested with fiduciary responsibilities for the welfare of the parish. The Vestry also acts as a counsel of discernment, advice, and reference for the Rector and church staff and provides consultation and support for all ministries of the parish. Vestry members are elected by the parish during the annual parish meeting and serve for three-year terms.
Any member of the parish is welcome to sit in on regularly scheduled Vestry Meetings, except during occasional executive sessions.
Minutes of the Vestry and parish financial reports are public documents under the canons of The Episcopal Church and state and national laws applicable to 501(c)3 non-profit religious organizations. Packets containing these reports are posted each month on the office bulletin board and on this page.
To the left is an index of complete Vestry packets for viewing and download from meetings since May, 2008. Each packet includes the agenda for that meeting, minutes from the previous meeting, a financial report, reports from the Rector and other staff members, and other documents germain to the Vestry’s ministry and consideration at that time.
Documents from Vestry meetings prior to June, 2008, may be obtained by contacting the church office at 388-1907 or by e-mail.
