I was glad when they said to me, Psalm 122:1 Sunday Worship8:00 am Early WorshipAt this more meditative early service, the community celebrates communion and prays to God using the poetic and more penitential words of the Holy Eucharist Rite I from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer. If you enjoy a quiet service and the solace of centuries-old English, or you simply want time early on Sundays to gather in community and pray before you enjoy the rest of your weekend, this service is a great place to start. Visitors are welcome to join a breakfast often held by a group of members who regularly attend our 8:00 Worship. 10:00 am Choral Worship ServiceCome join our primary worship service on Sunday mornings, which draws members and welcomes visitors into a contemporary celebration of an ancient rite: reading from scripture, proclaiming the Gospel, praying, blessing one another in Christ's name, and breaking bread together in communion. Children are welcome in the liturgy or may attend Sunday School beginning at 9:45. Childcare is also provided in the nursery. One Sunday a month, a children's sermon is offered during our 10:00 Worship. Church of Our Saviour also welcomes 4th-graders and older to join our acolyte program. With music ranging from traditional Anglican hymnody to gospel, the Choir of Our Saviour choir leads the congregation in raising our voices to God in praise and prayer, reflecting on the Christian journey and God's grace in our lives. Afterwards, everyone is invited to join the community in the Fireside Room to enjoy conversation and good company. Community Sunday brings together the entire congregation on the first Sunday of each month at 10:00 a.m., so families can worship together on a regular basis. Our Community Sunday worship includes dramatic readings, the introduction of new music, children's homilies, and involves the entire church community in our shared life in companionship in a spiritual journey towards the heart of God.
Weekday WorshipWednesdaysAt 10:30 every Wednesday morning, Church of Our Saviour welcomes members and visitors in a celebration of communion in an intimate setting. The first Sunday of the month includes special prayers and anointing for healing. Afterwards, you are invited to join a lively discussion about the Bible, faith, and our life today. The Daily OfficeYou are invited to join us for prayers in the monastic tradition of the Daily Office. On Tuesday through Fridays, we gather in the Church of Our Saviour Library to share in Morning Prayer at 9:30. This intimate 20-minute service, rooted in the ancient prayer traditions of Christianity, is an opportunity for you to daily engage the richness of scriptures, and to lift up to God everything that is on your heart and mind. On Mondays at 5:00 and Thursdays at 7:00, you are welcome to join the community in Evening Prayer, a time of reflection and prayer at the close of the day.
